Question:
so i went to a pool party and it was an awesome pool with like a rock cave type deal you can jump off of and it was like 6 feet tall and i jumped into 3 feet of water and landed on one heel and it has been hurting all night long and this morning i got up and i can't walk on it and i have to be at work to lifeguard in oen hour and need help so i dont get fired!

Answers:
you probably bruised the bone..it will take a long time to heal.
better take it easy for a while. walking on cement is terrible for that.hope you have some really cushy flip flops but you're going to have to keep weight off it and use ice to reduce pain and inflammation. you should probably go to the doctor and get and xray to see if you cracked it!
(and you could go to a thrift store and get a pair of crutches cheap! they are adjustable)

Other Answers:
i think u may have sprained ur ankle.

get some rental crutches and stay away from pool parties Soak it in a really hot tub of water. and rotate it SLOWLY and stretch it SLOWLY for about 15 minutes.after that, only time.

Wrap it with an ace bandage and keep it elevated try to ice if you can (might be hard if your an lifeguard

i think you should take care of yourself first. why don't you go see a doctor about your ankle. it won't hurt you to take one day off to see what's wrong. and if there's nothing wrong with your foot, then you'll be a better lifeguard

explain to your boss you can't save lives wth a swollen ankle. if he fires you he's a jackass is there someone higher up then him. he probably won't fire you but he will ask you to bring a doctors slip when you come in I.E have yourself checked out. If you know someone that can help u get to work and back. Then try that. Or u are just going to have to miss work. If not then try to walk on it. Lucky u. an ankle. Just a few weeks I had a twisted joint in my leg. Hope u get better.

if you can't walk on it you should be going to the hospital to have an x-ray done, there's a chance you may have fracture

Ankle breaks, or fractures, can occur in many ways: for example, by falls, contact sports and exercise injuries, and force from a blow.
