Question:
It is important to drink lots of water for many reasons as u know. But since i don`t feel thirsty all the time and i forget about it because i get busy in my college,so i drink 3 to 4 glasses of warm water when i wake up in the morning in a go.
Is it safe or harmful?
I manage to drink the rest 4 to 5 glsses of water through the rest of the day left.
I am 18 years.

Answers:
You don't need to drink 8 glasses (2 liters) of water a day. You certainly don't need 1/2 your body weight (in oz.) per day. You don't need ANY arbitrary target amount per day. Drink when you're thirsty. Period!

youre fine. youre drinking plenty of water. you should be really healthy
Besides your body, it's great for your skin-if you catch up on your water intake you will notice that even your skin will look good
The idea that everybody needs 8 large glasses of water a day is false. We really only need about 2.5 liters (8 cups) a day; more if you work out or are sweating a lot.
I dont really know, I dont drink water that often either
Of course, it's safe. Try carrying bottles of water around with you, and drink water with meals instead of sodas.
water is never too much.. you gotta keep it flowing through your body throughout the day. thats what makes it good for you.
don't worry about it....have atleast 5 glasses of water during the day.
It is somewhat harmful try to complete 8-12 glasses a day even you are not thirsty.
You are doing just fine in keeping up on your water intake. It is great that you are drinking room tempurature water when you wake up so your body is able to absorb it more easily.

Also, just try to keep a water bottle in your hand often. My find is that I will drink more when I have to carry the bottle around....not in my back pack.
These are the effects of LACK OF WATER INTAKE:

Increase in respiration.
Increase in rectal temperature and pulse rate.
Numbness and tingle feels in hands and feet.
Higher concentration of blood.

Difficult blood circulation that will lead to:
1. Difficulty in breathing
2. Gastro intestinal upsets
3. Nausea
4. Appetite failure
5. Weaker muscular movements
6. Emotional instability
7. Irritation and bad temperedness.

The replacement of water loss is recovered about 1-1.2 ltrs through drinks (water or teas etc), 0.9 ml through food and 0.3 ml by the body metabolism.

Even if a person has a high level of thirst or greed for water, he usually takes only half the actual amount that is basically needed to replace water loss through sweat and urine. As far as taking water through teas and drinks is concerned, hot drinks like tea, increase the body temperature and therefore cause sweating. Therefore, it is recommended to take cold or cool drinks rather than hot ones.

If you play sports or perform a highly intense exercise, then there are high chances of dehydration i.e. lack of water. Sweating contributes the most to fall in water level during exercise. A prolonged dehydration i.e. if you have exercised and you have not recovered your water loss, it leads to
1. Cellular death,
2. Less tolerance to heat and
3. Lesser exercising capacity.

In high intensity exercises, taking water before the exercise results in a rapid fall in the plasma sodium concentration. This reduces the motivation to drink water and increases urine. This will delay regaining normal water level in your body.

In order to achieve normal water level in your body, you need to recover the water and sodium lost in sweat. For this it is not mandatory to take sodium tablets, but a better solution is to take a salty food or any thing that contains in it natural salt. Sports drinks provide sodium, chloride and potassium.

Activities causing fatigue if done for an hour should not only be supplemented with water but a small content of carbohydrates can prove more beneficial as compared to just plain water.

These were the side effects and reasons for drinking 8 glasses of water a day.

SO I THINK U R DOING WELL!!!
you want to get about eight 8-oz glasses per day, so it sounds like you are coming pretty close to that. Also keep in mind you do get some amount of water from food (depending on the food) as well as limited hydration from other beverages that you consume.

warm water is fine...do whatever will get you to drink it, even if it's adding a little crystal light to your water bottle and taking it to class.
since you are in college, i suppose your are a student... Another advantage of drinking water......Keeps you awake
I think you are getting enough water. but i also think it is not harmful to drink alot of water. i don't think you can drink too much
you drink optimum amount of water
your habit of drinking warm water is good as it increases your metabolism and keeps you active
