Laryngeal edema (swelling of the voicebox) is nothing to fool around with. Watch her breathing, make sure it is easy and unlabored. If ANY wheezing occurs call 911 because this can stop her breathing. A trip to the MD to ensure there hasn't been permanent injury isn't out of the question but if that isn't possible then keep an eye on her for the next 24 hours. If her breathing remains okay, the rest will heal on its own
