Wrist sprain or fracture?

Question: I fell skateboarding last night and my forearm is killing me. I have insurance that doesn't pay for anything, so I don't want to get an unnecesary x-ray. How can I tell if it's fractured or just sprained?

Answers:
GET AN XRAY. This is no joking matter. Get off the computer and go. If you've broken it and it heals wrong, you'll feel that wrist for the rest of your life.

get an XRAY i fell out of a tree and i thought i had just sprained my wrist and i got XRAYS and when the XRAYS came back they showed that i had broken my wrist in 2 places
