How many pairs of surgical shoes allowed on National Health per year?
Question:
Answers:
Adults
One pair of prescribed footwear will be issued on the basis of clinical need.
Within six months and providing the first pair is satisfactory a second pair will be made and supplied.
Thereafter shoes will be replaced when necessary to ensure the patient has two pairs in good condition.
New shoes will only be issued to replace worn out footwear and not automatically issued annually.
hope this helps you
Other Answers:
it depends on the needs and condition of the wearer, there is no strict allocation.
used to be (four years ago) two pair at the first visit, then one pair per year after that. If having problems ask GP to refer to the consultant again.
