question about getting bloody noses?

one of my best friends gets bloody noses a couple times a week. i'm really worried about her. she says that her throats a little soar after them sometimes. is this anything serious?

Could be. I would get into see a doctor ASAP just to be on the safe side.

Could also be from DRY conditions and her not drinking enough water.

I would highly suggest She get a check up. It may not be much, but you never know. Sinus problems are more likely the cause BUT cancer shouldn't be ruled out. If it is sinus trouble, it can be easily treated. She needs to get it checked soon!

I get bloody noses a couple times a week too but thats because it is a side effect of some medication I am on (It is reeeally annoying!). Is she on any medication? If she is then have her check the side effects.

Also, if the air is really dry you can get bloody noses more easily. If she sleeps with the fan on high I suppose that might also cause something like that to happen.

If this persists for another week I would probably see a doctor.

Nose bleeds in children are not usually serious. Nose bleeds in adults could be a sign of a more serious problem.such as undiagnosed high blood pressure or a side effect of one of the medications she is on.
