My hip hurts.?

Hello Kasey,
First I am so sorry that you are experiencing so much pain. Pain is something I truly understand as I suffer from several medical conditions that cause chronic pain. I hope that I can be of some help to you. I would hate for you to feel helpless and overwhelmed as I did.
The pain you are describing sounds like your hip could be being affected by your mattress or position you are sleeping in. I guess this because you say this happens when you go to sleep at night. See for me, during the day, the hip pain happens when I walk for long distances or stand for a long period of time. The physical therapist and back doctor suggested some type of exercises that help to ease the pain and also help you feel better. If this really is just happening at night, then maybe you could try looking around for a new mattress. But if you are like me and money is an issue, here is a good suggestion. I found out that there is this foam type sheet you can place on top of your mattress. They sell these for people who have back pain/problems and I do believe this could help you with your hip pain. It contours to your body frame and the position you sleep in. And I do believe it is very cheap; like around $20 - $40? Not sure. But I did get this thin one for my bed that I even found in Walmart. It looks like a fitted sheet but has padding. So it isn't as thick as the one I mentioned above but it could work for the meantime.
I do really hope this helps you. I sincerely hope you feel better soon. If this doesn't help enough, then I would highly recommend you seek a specialist's opinion. They could give you some great techniques to relieving the pressure and pain. I hope you feel better soon.
Go to the doctor...duh!
