Question:
Hey, after my accident Ive been diagnosed with dropped foot. I suffered a shattered hip and my left leg was needed to be put back into place. So now i have 9 screws and three pieces of metal and a very ugly scar. After the operation i wasn't able to move or have any sensation in my calf or foot. Its been two months i can move my leg, but I still dont have any muscle activity in my calf or foot. They tell me that during the accident the nerve was pinched. Any info would greatly be appreciated thank you.
Answers:
I sent an email to you since I have the same.
The answer above is bogus. I have had it for 14 years. It will not get better..
Prognosis
When foot drop is due to a compressed nerve, corrective surgery can produce a complete recovery within several months. If the cause is a skeletal problem or other neurological problem, the prognosis for complete recovery is not as certain.
