Does anyone have any suggestions for really bad pregnacy back pain? Please :(?

Question:
I am 7 months pregnant. This week all of the sudden, I have had terrible upper back pain. No matter how I lay, sit, stand it hurts. It’s been 3 days and I have had less than 4 hours of sleep each night. I have tried pillows of all shapes and sizes- hot showers and baths- back rubs from my husband- Icy Hot patches- and Tylenol. Nothing is helping... I called the doctor on call tonight and he said other than taking Tylenol pm to help me sleep there wasn't anything he could do tonight. I said he can see me in the morning. My husband is out getting Tylenol pm now. But does anyone have any other ideas for me on how to help my back feel better. I would really love some relief right now.

Answers:
You can try a hot water bottle, but I found that lying on top of an electric blanket works best. Make sure that your room is pretty cold. Turn down the A/C if you have to. Get the temp in the room down until you are cold. Then lie on top of the electric blanket and make sure it's pretty hot. Then try to focus on something else. Watch a movie or TV. Take deep breaths. Meditate. It will take about 15 minutes. I don't know if this will work for you, but the more I think about the pain, the worse it is because my muscles start to tighten even more because of stress. Hopefully, you can get some sleep. Good luck.
It's late and I'm getting tired the only advise I can think of right now is when your taking that Tylenol take it with warm milk. Warming the milk will alter the chemical composition and release tryptophan . If you can't get rid of the pain right now at least you'll sleep through it.
I know you said that you've tried pillows and positions and everything in between, but have you tried. . .both?
When I was pregnanat with my son, I had horrible back pain, and all the stuff you listed didn't help me either, but I . . .now this is going to sound funny, get on the love seat lengthwise on all fours, use a good stiff pillow, under your belly like right against your crotch and one above your belly and try to relax, you just have lots of tension and strain, from carying all that new weight and your body's not accustomed to it and probably won't be untill right around the time your body doesn't need to anymore. . .if you get my meaning ^^ good luck, congrats, and I hope this helps.
