I have this pain in my left hip?

i just recently started running (i ran before i started up again for a while) and i get this pain in my left thigh that hurts whenever i walk. whats going on?

Is it better to burn out or disperse?

Answer:
Pay attention to EXACTLY what you're doing throughout the day with that joint, and exactly where the pain is. I once had a pain in my right hip that came from nothing more than twisting on my foot when getting in the car (left, drivers' side). Running stresses your joints so pay attention to what your body tells you, what you're doing at the time--and wear good shoes. The shoes really matter.

It sound like strain. Can also result it in spasm.
Check with doctor to avoid muscle injury.

It can be something minor that could heal with help of anti-inflammation gel, but then you have to be sure.

Hand pain?

If it bugs you for more than a week, seek a physiotherapist or medical doctor who can refer you to an appropriate personnel.

from the day it started, has it gotten any worse?? which activities does it hurt with?? which part exactly is it?? you said hip then you used the word thigh. they mean very differnt things. hip's a joint, thigh's muscular.

A strain (injured muscle) will only hurt when you use that muscle (in the case of a severe strain) or when you stretch it. If it's the joint, it may hurt in a whole different clinical pattern.

You need to observe the pattern of pain to be a greater help to yourself and your treating practitioner.

If ever you get an exacerbation with running/walking, ice the area.
NEVER apply heat to an acute injury.

Your age has something to do with it. If you are still growing, these may be growing pains. Did you talk to your doctor or your phys-ed teacher? They can probably help.
