Ankle help? thanks?
About 15 minutes ago we were walking into this building and i missed the curb stepping down and my ankle went sideways and backwards. It hurt a lot so i stopped for a second. i looked at my ankle and it looks a little swollen and a little black and blue. i looked at my toes and my little toe is totally black and blue and the black and blue mark goes down the one side of my foot. it hurts a lot. what should i do about my ankle and toe? For my ankle, do i need to put a wrap on it?
my toe is pretty swollen now.
p.s. i know i posted this 2 times, but i got 1 answer in the other place, i need some more advice. thanks so much.
What exactly does breaking/injuring your tailbone expect?
Answers:
Put ice around the area of ankle or keep cold pack.
Dont bear weight on twisted ankle. Is the swelling on medial side or lateral side?
If it is lateral side (Outer side)...it may heal faster
If it is medial side (Inner side).see physician earliest. Mostly you will need rest for that ankle, pain killer, swelling reducer like ibuprofen and ankle bandage.
Persistent pain, increasing swelling and crackling or snaping noise at the time of injury are good indication for ER visit
Does anyone have any ideas as to whats wrong with my shoulder?
time to get an x-ray you may have broken a bone.
I have an MRI on my wrist yesterday & immediately doc say I hold?
Add details... was there a popping or cracking noise from your bones?? If so, it could be broken or dislocated. DO NOT PUT PRESSURE ON IT. Go to the doctors. Have them diagnose it. It sounds serious to me.
i would suggest seeking medical attention. it could be a bad sprain, which can be extremely painful(been there). you could have broken a bone as well, done that too. if you can move it or walk on it, it's probably a bad sprain. i would ice it and get a doctor to look at it, just in case there's something fractured or broken. it may need a splint or cast. good luck.
sounds like you broke something there, so pop into an emergency room and get it xrayed. good luck
