I am 18 and still bed wet.,,,?

Question:
I am slightly overweight (275 at 5'10) and still bed wet. When I talk to my docs, they say I have not diabetes or other disease/illness. He had me on DDAVP but it just contributed to the bed wetting. What do I do?

Answers:
See a specialist...a urologist would be my best bet. Your bladder may have never grown to the size it should have. You may have a slight prolapse of the bladder and that may contribute to it as well. The weight does not help with it either. See another doctor! They may prescribe you medication to help relax your bladder first. But definitely go see another doctor!
go pee b4 bed time
Couldn't tell ya, but my first thought was diabetes...I think you need to go to a couple of different docs and see what they all say, one is not enough for something like that.
Don't drink anything 2 hours before you sleep and go right before you sleep. In some cases I tell patients to set your alarm and go to the bathroom every 4 hours at night.
If you wet your bed at age 18, it better be from an orgasm.. yours or his.
Not to be mean but you are way overweight. You should be between 170- 180 lbs. Simply reduce fluid intake and you will have nothing to expell.
just relax when u go to sleep
I heard when you wet the bed you are having terrible nightmares so where u abused or raped when your were a child. try to write down your dreams the next day and try to figure out what is wrong
I wouln't take the DDAVP again I have a bleeding disorder and take it and it makes you feel even worst. There are some devices that wake you up when you start to go try googeling them.
Apparently, sir, you and I differ on the definition of "slightly overweight". I'm 6" taller than you, about the same weight and I consider myself to be a fat bastard. As far as the bed wetting, can't help you there.
Do not drink anything after 6pm. Always go to the bathroom before bed. Try to lose some weight as the weight of your organs may be pressing down on your bladder or kidneys. Try sleeping in different positions as well. You may need to see a urologist.

P.S. You are not alone I and others I've know did it until our teens. Your emotional stability and belief in yourself is a big factor.
i hear ya. i was 15 before i stopped. I don't know exactly why, but my docter suggesting cutting out all dairy products from my diet, and it worked. Slowly over the years l have incorperated some dairy back into my diet. (There are pills you can take called Lactaid that are non prescibtion that you take before eating dairy that even out the lactose, because i'm telling you. life sucks without pizza and icecream!)
Buy some GoodNites Underpants! =D
