Question:
I received a dog bite on the leg a couple of weeks ago. It came close, but didn't break the skin. I can still feel a welt and was just wondering what has caused this and if there's anything I can do about it (short of going to the doctor's office).
Thanks

Mesage therapy and ice are the best remedies, although it is only time that can completely heal your wound.
who ever owns that dog needs to get rid of it. The bite might be infected. You don't get welts from dog bites. I would go to the doctor and have those people get rid or that dog.
Personally I would just use rubbing alcohol and keep an eye on it. I wouldn't rush to the doctor just yet.
good luck.
