Can't sleep - shallow breathing!?
Question:
Answers:
Can't sleep, or can't get to sleep? I've had problems staying asleep, and found out I had a mild asthma (shallow breathing), sleep apnea, and perhaps acid reflux.
To get to sleep, try relaxation exercises - tense muscle groups for 10 seconds, then slowly relax for 10 seconds, moving up the body from feet to head.
For breathing, the doctor prescribed an albuterol inhaler - didn't know I had a problem before (mild asthma/allergies), but now can tell it works.
Sleep meds - Ambien has a short half life, so a small amount works and won't leave you tired in the morning.
A prescribed acid reducer can stop night-time reflux, if you have it; also, you can raise the head of your bed so your head is a bit higher than your stomach.
If you have something on your mind for the next day, write it down so you can put it out of your mind.
Also, you won't feel as tired the next day if you don't worry about how much sleep you've gotten (don't count the number of hours). You can rest even if you're only sleeping lightly; if you wake up, go back to sleep right away before fully waking up - no television, etc., although you might try a chore - your mind will want to avoid that.
yawn..I'm sleepy now..
Tylenol PM
Call off work the next day. Go to the doctor. You may have a sleeping disorder or a respitory problem.
I usually just read till I fall asleep, or watch TV, sounds like you are stressed.
Do you normally have shallow breathing? I would talk to a doctor if you do.
make a good airfloww room for sleeping and control mind
do you have asthma ?...maybe some benadryl ? (it's in most OTC sleepaids) but will help if you have allergies and asthma.
Figure out what is making you so anxious. Use a few pillows to raise yourself while lying in bed. Watch The Home Shopping network on Tv. That should put you to sleep in no time.
masturbate again i guess
try to sleep with your body semi-inclined; head inclined... or just visit a doctor...
it could be anxiety. something big going on at work tomorrow? try and relax.concentrate on your toes, stiffen them (sounds stupid - but bear with me) then release, your ankles, then release, etc. knees, thighs, buttocks, stomach area, chest, shoulders, neck ...then work your way back down to your toes. it's not the same as masturbating but sometimes it helps. good luck to you.
Please know that any self abuse frustrates even more instead take a glass of hot watet mix half spoon pepper and two spoons honey to sip at bedtime and midnight for a week and whenever you have a shallow breathing. Give proper ventilation to your bedroom. Rest your head on a heap of pillows. Get well soon.
