Question:
I had volleyball tryouts for my highschool for 3 days and after the 2nd day my ankle started to really hurts. It seems worse today though. I probably shouldn't have gone to tryouts last night but I did and it hurt a little during practice but not that much. Could I have sprained it and not know it untill I got home from practice on the 2nd day. The symptoms I'm experiencing are
slight swelling
tenderness
redness around and on the ankle
pain with moving it
pain when I walk or run on it
pain when I climb up or down the stairs
I didn't make the team this year but It was my freshman tryouts so I have 3 more years to try to get on the team. I'm also 14. What do you think is wrong and what can I do for it. I have crutches at home if you think that I should be using them.
Answers:
It wouldn't hurt to use them. Def. ask your mom or dad or even an older sibling to take you to get an x-ray. If it is sprained and you keep walking on it the injury could get worse
