Is it safe to mix painkillers?
Question:
Answers:
no to be honest i would wait till tomorrow morning to take the 800mg of Motrin because you will get the worst upset stomach from the 9 ibuprofen you took last night...if your in too much pain to bear i would rather see you take a vicoden or percocet something that doesn't have ibuprofen in it cause then it will help with the pain and make you feel good...if you can't get any and the pain in unbearable then i suggest going to the ER just to make sure that you don't have any fractures or breaks in your arm and the ER always has some good pain meds to help you get comfortable...good luck i hope you feel better
Motrin and ibuprofen are the same thing. You should wait 4-6 hours before taking another dose to avoid having stomach problems.
You can use pain relife of the same ingredients (and mix them) as long as you leave the prescribed time inbetween each dose eg 4hours. You can use SOME pain relief made form different ingredients together taken together then the prescribed period apart
Motrin is Ibuprofen...Four 200mg tablets of ibuprofen equals one 800mg tablet of Motrin 800...Make sure you eat food when taking it. Don't take too much...Ask your doctor how much the max dosage is.
Motrin is Ibuprofen. I would say it was safe to take the 800 mg six hours after you took it last. Maybe even sooner if you only to 1-2 last time. In other words, I am saying you could take 4 Ibuprofen and that would be the same as take 1 800 Mg Motrin.
Motrin and Ibuprofen are the same thing. Just be careful you don't take too much----it can tear up your stomach.
Motrin is the same as Ibuprophin. People who have chronic pain are told to take 3 ibuprophin which is 600 mgs 3 times a day for 10 days, provided they dont have any stomach discomfort.
Also they make a stronger dose of Ibuprophin which must be prescribed.
If you have taken that much Ibuprophin and still have no relief, I would go to the doctor.
Motrin is ibuprofen. The maximum amount that you should take is on the bottle. Not more than 2400 mg. over 24 hours. The reason for this is that anti-inflammatories, like ibuprofen can cause kidney damage. What you can do, is take 2 tylenol a couple of hours after you take the ibuprofen, and, as directed on the bottle. (There's a reason they put directions for use on the bottle.) If this dosen't help your pain, you should really go to an ER. You may have broke something.
i don't think that you should mix painkillers cause that could screw upi your emotions and thats really really bad so don't i don't htink that that would be a good idea
Motrin is Ibuprofen. Read the label on your Ibuprofen bottle to learn how often you can be dosing. I'm sure there is a limit as to how many tablets are safe within a 24 hour period. If your last dose was at 7, you should be able to take more any time after 11. If you're ever unsure, you can always call your local pharmacy and speak directly to a pharmacist for free and accurate advice.
motrin is Ibuprofin. wait 6 hours to take or you will hurt your stomach lining
