make a slant board so that you can elevate your legs for proper circulation. Purchase plywood big enough for your body and longer so that you can place one end on a chair or sofa and the other end on the floor. Lay on this for 30 minutes after work. If you can do this twice daily you will start to feel many differences.

Humans weren't meant to stand on their feet for 12 hours at a time. We aren't horses! But, if you absolutely have to stand, bring another pair of shoes to work with you (a different style) and change in the middle of your shift. Whenever you get a break take your shoes off and rotate your ankles, stretch your achilles tendons and massage your tarsals and metatarsals. If you stand in one position get a box or something to set one foot on and alternate.
My foot doc said the freeze a water bottle and roll it under your feet when you get home.
I would think you need to have a job where you are not working 12 hr. shifts! 8 hrs is long enough for anyone to work no matter what the proffession is.
