Restless legs?
Question:
Answers:
see a doctor
Drink lots of tonic water or ask your doc to prescribe quinine
The best place for info is the restless leg syndrome foundation. I have put the link below. Many doctors are ignorant of the syndrome. I suggest you read up the site, make notes and go back to your doctor. If he/she still refuses to help ask for a second opinion...you are entitled to one. Take a friend with you if you find it difficult to be assertive for your rights.
PS Tonic water has no effect on RLS...thats for cramp!
I don't think it is restless leg syndrome. I have that and it is NOT painful. Your legs just feel tingly and you can't keep them still. You will have the urge to move your legs frequently.
Claire,
I have a very good friend who has experienced this as well. Like you, it began in childhood and she is now middle-aged. The only way for her to get through these times...she moves her legs so that they are sort of bouncing. This seems to help her get rid of the aggravation.
I hope this helps! Best of luck to you.
This could be from stress. Try meditation
hugzz has it right. Tonic water is nothing but ordinary soda with quinine dissolved in it. Also restless legs do not hurt. They just give you an urge to move your legs or stretch them and is mainly due to imperfect blood circulation. You have a different problem that could be because of weaker bones. The advise to read up on RLS , make notes and go back to your doctor is sound and the proper course to take. However if the problem has not worsened over the years then it is not life threateningly urgent and worrying.
ive had the same problem normally once i fall asleep at night i wake up he nxt morning ok mabey u shud see a doc
