Does anyone know a repellent for jellyfish or something to prevent jellyfish stings?
Question:
Answers:
Many jellyfish kind of drift with the tide and have little control over their direction. Any sort of repellent would have limited effect because of this. So, short of a wet-suit, there's not much to be done in terms of prevention. You just have to be on your toes when you're in the water and they could be around, or avoid the water altogether when they've taken it over.
But you can be prepared if you are stung. A number of readily available products like vinegar and even urine are known to reduce pain.
We use stinger suits in Oz.
