Total Knee Replacement surgery question?

Question:
I am 25 yrs old with severe arthritis in my left knee. It is so severe that my knee is starting to become deformed. My surgeon told me that I am looking at a total knee replacement in a year, it's all most been a year this december. My question is does anybody know anybody that has had a TKR and it has lasted a long time? How many TKR's can you have in a life time? ANY information that you may have or have heard or know from your sister your dad your cousin or your baby's momma's friend, ANYTHING. Thank you!

Answers:
I have seen many total knee replacements done, and if it is recommended, highly recommend it.

It will take 2-3 hours for the surgery, then you will go to the recovery room for approx. 1 hour, and then you will go back to your room.

They will attach a device to your leg to make it move back and forth, which will cause the knee not to get stiff.

You will have to complete physical therapy also.

You can choose to have a general anesthesia, or a spinal, or epidural.

I highly recommend going to sleep, and also having an epidural put in for post operative pain.

Good luck
