Restless legs...?
Question:
Answers:
I had restless legs for about 10 years before I decided it was not just my imagination or fatigue. Go to a Neurologist who specializes in movement disorders-Parkinson's, MS, MD. I was put on anti-Parkinson meds and it worked the first night I took it. It was like a miracle. I had been in such agony and misery for so long. I had to have an EEG and a sleep test first to document the condition. I have tried Requip seen advertised on TV. I was started on a low dose that didn't work. I am now in the process of switching to a higher dose at night. I used to just have it at night-after 6:00 pm, then after 1:00 pm. Now it bothers me in the am as soon as 9:00. I take meds 3-4 times a day. I have been taking Neurontin for about 10 years or so. It makes some sleepy, but not me. Also, good for anxiety, soothe nerves from chronic back pain, and is actually an anti-convulsant. I have been on 4-5 drugs over the last 20 years-only one has ever caused me to feel weird and that was Mirapax. That was just me though. You also see it advertised on TV. I couldn't and wouldn't take it. I just had to go to bed immediately within 30 minutes of taking it. I got real sleepy and cranky if i didn't.
Get to a Neurologist soon. There is a control-not a cure and it works immediately. It runs in my family. My grandmother, my mom, and myself all have had it.
