What are the chances of recovering from severed nerves, tendons, and main artery in my wrist?

Question:
Five weeks ago my tendons, nerves, and main artey was severed just below my left wrist. Does anyone know the average percentage of recovery I can expect? My doctor will not give me much info on this question. I am 37 and healthy.

Answers:
You can't expect full return of nerve function, but the reason your surgeon isn't being explicit is that these injuries are very individual, and he simply cannot predict.
Slim, especially for the nerve damage
Excellent You should get almost all if not all it back .Don't worry about it. Just give it time and do the necessary rehab when that time comes . Follow your doctors orders to the letter.
Ideally you would have wanted a hand surgeon to have done the operation and most general surgeons or ER docs would have called one in.
Good luck and don't get impatient because it's going to take a while to heal.
