Answers:
i agree with taking time to relax in bed to settle yourself. also try lavender scent on your pillow or near your bed it will relax you and put you to sleep. i have sleep apnea so i know how difficult getting sleep can be or proper sleep. i sometimes wake up enough that im aware of it.
is there anything else going on you may have thought cant be connected like a restless feeling in leg? it can keep you up. if the problem continues ask your doctor about going to a sleep disorder clinic and getting a sleep study. good luck hope you can figure it out and soon be having nothing but sweet dreams at night.
See your doctor, and get on a sleeping pill. I believe Lunesta doesnt cause addiction.
Do you drink a lot of caffeine or eat right before bed? Both can cause sleeping issues for you. Keep some quite, peaceful alone time about an hour before bed and try to relax yourself down. Or drink a lot of alcohol before bed! That Will knock you out..just kidding. Don't do that. Good luck. I hope you're sleeping like a baby soon. Otherwise you should seek out a doc. There are a lot of pills out there and their not half bad or make you addicted. You never know until you visit a doc and see your choices.
TRY drinking warm milk and taking a warm bath before bed - soothing music - dimmed light - fresh bed sheets - ear plugs - free your mind and have a good night sleep =)
Insomnia is often caused by fear, stress, anxiety, medications, herbs, caffeine, depression or sometimes for no apparent reason. Make sure your bedroom is quiet and dark. Soak a tablespoon of mint leaves in a cup of water for an hour, drink every night. Check out http://useinfo-insomnia.blogspot.com/... for more info
Hi,

Contrary to one of the other answers I cannot sleep if I go to bed hungry, so I always have a small snack before bed just to take the edge off. ( avoid cheese though)

I always sleep with cotton wool in my ears.
Wet your inner ear with your finger and plug them with cotton wool. (the dampness holds it in place).

Sleeping in total darkness is abnormal so have a little light coming into the room, moonlight, streetlight or hall light, just to break up the darkness.

'Nytol' works to an extent and so do some antihistermine tablets Piriton (chloropheneramine) make me sleep.

When I packed in smoking I could not sleep at all. I would toss and turn for ages, then I started to have a small glass of sherry before bed and I was out like a light.

Hope these tips help

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress,
dietary and medical problems. By making
small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly,
insomnia can be cured. I found the information
