Natural remedies for insomnia?


Question:
Can any one suggest something that will help NATURALLY with sleep...I sleep for maybe 15 minutes out of each hour a night. (I've tried teas and meditiation, I've adjust my home tempreature..I just can't get sleep.

Could it be I do too much cardio when I work out.I do about 2 hours a day. (I also do a total body weight training every other day.)

It could be the exercise depending on when you do it. How long before you go to sleep do you do your exercise? Drinking tea does not really help, because they actually contain some caffeine. Here are a few things you can try. Eat grapes before bed. Grapes really help people go to sleep. Limit your caffine intake i.e pop, soda, or whatever you call it. If you have trouble going to sleep, try counting 1-1000 you should fall asleep somewhere between 100-300. If that does not work then imagine sheep chewing and chewing and chewing as this will bore your mind and you will fall asleep.
The training only affects you when you do it in the evening close to your night-time. Try warm milk or even soothing music might help. I also have a hard time sleeping and what actually helps me is exercise during the day.
One of the many reasons people can not fall to sleep easily is their brain do not get enough Oxygen. It will be dangerous to fall to sleep and further slow down heart and lung function; that is why their body would not let them fall to sleep easily. Many people’s neck and shoulder muscles are too tight due to over exercise, stress, or working condition and do not have good blood circulation to bring enough Oxygen for brain. Try not to eat or heavy work out before bed time; your blood only can work for brain, muscles, or stomach not the whole body. Warm bath and massage are very good for this and you can breathe slowly and deeply before sleep.
