Mystery Injury of My Friend...?

Question:
My friend called me last night saying she wanted me to bring a crutch for her to school. She said she hurt her calf at track and her coach massaged it for her. She said her calf was tightening up quickly and then releasing (spasm?). I brought her a crutch. Anyways, she said she could barely walk but she couldn't find a way to get up the stairs with the crutches, so she walked up (successfully). We have an elevator at the school but she said she didn't want the key. Now she is telling people she completely tore or 'ripped' her calf. She has a history of exagerating injuries and I'm wondering if she could be doing the same again. Did she really tear her calf or is she exagerating?

Answers:
it sounds to me like she may be exaggerating only because if she had actually TORE her calf muscle then i very seriously doubt that she would be able to walk... Did your friend go the Dr. It sound to me like she just pulled or strained her calf muscle and it would be sore for a few days but would be fine to walk on...
also she may have an iron defiency which would cause her to have rapid and severe muscle spasms
good luck
i doubt she tore anything, maybe over strained a muscle...but if you have ever tore anything you would know you could not walk up a flight of stairs...she is prob just over exagerating, and wants some attention
sounds like a Bologna muscle to me
