Can my bruise turn into a blood clot?
I was in a 4 wheeling accident. My ankle is bruised completely around the ankle where it meets the foot. That was 5 days ago. No breaks, just sprained. Now today I noticed that the bruise is going away near the bottom of the leg, but it is higher than what it had been. The new bruise is purple, the old bruise is now a reddish orange color. Is it possible the old bruise is healing and new bruise is still showing up 5 days later? Is it possible my bruise is traveling up my leg and if so is that a blood clot? It is warm to the touch, but I assume that is because the bruising is so severe.
Throbbing affliction over one eye..?

The whole area was bruised however, it took time for the rest of the leg to turn "colorful". The warmth bothers me and I would suggest you see a doctor and have it examined for two reasons- one is of course to make sure there are no blood clots forming, and secondly since the injury was so severe and was a blunt injury, you need an xray to make sure there are no tiny fractures or chips.

How can I stop chewing my fingers?
It can because the leading to blood clots is the legs arms and lungs. I would check that out right away. Better safe than sorry right?
Ow!:(
Your ankle has been through some pretty heavy trauma. Don't worry, a blood clot is something different. They form in your arteries and move through your body without you even knowing they're there. Give your ankle plenty of rest and VERY gentle massage. The bruising will fade in time:)
Is there a way to cure low blood pressure or am i just being dumb?
oh yes and infact bruses can be the most deathfully blodd clot ever so run and scream SORRY i was just kidding ithing that blood clotes are made up of extra blodd sells in the blood flowage system so checkwith your doctor
I really doubt this is a blood clot. Although, if you have been lying around resting, you are at risk. Blood clots or (DVT) are formed in the veins (V) not arteries. You will see no signs or symptoms of a DVT (maybe overall leg swelling). If you are concerned go to ER need a leg doppler. about the ankle, you could still have fractured it or ripped ligaments or tendons hard to say. an infection is also possible. the first x-ray sometimes do not pick up a fracture.
Assuming there is no fracture ( you seem pretty sure about this) then I would not worry.
If you have been elevating your leg to reduce the swelling then the bruising will show up your leg - this is a good thing.
As for the likelihood of a clot (DVT) this would only be an issue of you have been immobilised for a long period of time (not 5 days ago!) and had other risk factors - cancer, major surgery etc.
The warmth is quite likely to be associated with the normal inflammatory process and again is no big deal.
BUT at the end of the day I would not believe anyone on this web site (including myself) as nobody can give you a truly informed decision without a thorough clinical exam... if you are worried go see someone but I really think a clot would be very low on the list of likely problems
