I have a lazy eye since I was a kid, I haven't been patching is it too late?

Question:
I have a lazy eye and I had it since I was a kid. Is it too late for my eye?? I have to patch one eye to keep my lazy eye working, I haven't been patching since I was a kid. Now I'm 11 and I'm scared its too late... what should I do?

Answers:
No, it's not too late. However, you'll have to patch it longer to break the habits you've developed. Just get started, probably 2 days on, one off for starters.
you need to go to an eye expert. They'll investigate and tell you what you need to do.
You really need to get to a good opthamologist ASAP to have it examined and treatment recommended. Good luck.
