Depends on the pain, mild to moderate pain Darvocet would probably work just fine. Vicodan for severe pain. Be careful not to over medicate.

Each person is different. They tolerate pain differently and the same goes for medication effects. If you were prescribed both, the best is to try one. If it doesn't seem to do the trick...then try the other when it is safe to do so. You also might want to consider how it affects you in ways other than pain...for example, one might make you more spacey and outside yourself than another, or make you nauseaous. See which works best for you.
It depends on the person, for certain people certain medications work better than others, and also depending on the type of pain can depend on which medication would work best.
Darvocet is very mild and Vicodin is stronger. Everyone is different, but most people would find more relief from Vicodin.
well all pain medication works different for certain people...if you take pain medication on a regular basis the vicodin would probably work better for you but if you don't then that darvocet would probably work just as well...or if you want to alternate that works too it's mostly all about what makes you more comfortable and how high your tolerance is..I hope this helps and I hope you feel better if not "hey take one of each" why not? Those two narcotic pain medications aren't strong enough to cause you to get addicted or go through any types of with-drawls even though everyone says that narcotic pain medication has a high dependency rate...Like I said it's all about the person taking it...but for what is stronger i would have to go with vicodin...
I'm in Canada are you from the USA I have never heard of Darvocet. I have chronic pain The doc has me on 40mg. 3 times Ada.These are a slow release tablet, so you don't get that o.k. I'm stoned feeling. Hope this will help when you are talking to your Dr.by the way i forgot to tell you the name of the pill (Oxycontin)
they both suck.. ask for percocet.
