A pain in my Chest in between my ribs?
Question:
On my right hand side, i think its between my 5th and 6th rib down, there is a pain, it isnt there all the time, and when it is normally i can deal with it as it is a slight annoyance. Here is what i feel.
If i put my chin to my chest a sharp pain explodes in that area. If i breath in deeply i cough uncontrollably. twisting to the right less then 30degrees hurts and tot he left just over half way. Doctors have no idea took an xray but couldnt see anything.
Today, iwoke up this morning rolled over in bed and the pain exploded the worst i have had it, knocked me out cold. waking up again later moving out of bed was terrible, and i spent the better part of the morning coughing thick phlem. While normally i am extremly healthly. The pain has been with me the entire day and has crippled me.
Does anyone have any idea? any information would be helpful i am lost!

Did you hurt yourself before any of this pain started?It might be internal injury.
If you went to a clinic doctors, i strongly recommend that you go straight to the hospital for a checkup cos clinic doctors may not think of any wider range of problems. If you have been going to hospital doctors, ask if you could get another scan of your chest at another angle, also, tel them to feel for them dent in your ribcage. Good Luck!
talk to your dr. again. that doesnt sound normal to have pain like that. just my opinion.
Sometimes when gas builds up it can get caught up there in the ribcage area and sometimes hurt enough to cause problems with breathing. I've had it happen to me a few times. The first time it happened it scared me to death.
I would recommend getting another opinion and preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the doctors you have already seen.
i had extreme pain under my ribs as well and a ct scan revealed that i had two kidney stones. with kidney stones nothing helps the pain (unless u have vicodin or other strong drugs) and it can make u nausiated.
