Answers:
prolonged pressure or when the limbs do not move for a long time can affect the blood flow..so try not to restrict blood flow too often...the numbness will go off after a few days, if not, by then you should see a doctor
give it a couple of days to get it back to normal since there was no blood circulation all the time you were asleep..if it doesnt go away then you should get it checked and see what your doctor recommends
This happened to me and I went to the doctor for it because the numbness got really bad for me. I am a teacher and I could not write on the chalkboard. But, the situation is called Park Bench Syndrome. The pain and numbness happens because you are causing damage to the tissues and nerves in your arm and hand by repeatedly sleeping on it. Sleeping on my arms and hands had become such a habit for me, that I had to bind my hands at my side before going to sleep. That way, I did not roll over on them, and I was forced to find another comfortable position to sleep in. I also had to soak for hours in warm baths to get the circulation flowing again. Break your habit now before it becomes very serious!!
