Is it really cystitis?

Question:
I have been told I have cystitis as I have severe lower abdo pain and a high infection result on a urine dipstick test. I have a heavy crampy feeling in my lower abdomen but it doesnt hurt when I wee or burn or anything like that. I was wondering if it could be something else as other than the dipstick result nothing else is matched to a UTI.

Answers:
Unless it has developed into a kidney infection, that is most likely the only other thing it could have gone too. Follow the Dr.'s orders and feel better soon. I certainly know just how incomfortable they are!
cystitis is inflammation of the bladder, and usually what causes burning in urination if the lower urinary tract is affected as well, u should feel some cramping though when u pee as the bladder contracts..u have to watch any blood or sediments in ur urine
check for extra dryness, and use creams not pills to fix it quick, ask your drugest at pharmacy
