I tore my hamstring in January. i i think i tore it again today. how can i heal it within the next 3 weeks?

Question:
i play varsity soccer for my high school and i cannot miss out of preseason training which begins in 3 weeks. i attend physcial therapy and have been doing so for about 2 months but it has not helped. i have a sleeve that i wear when i run/workout. my leg has never stopped bothering me. taking a break is not a chioce as i am playing volleyball also and it is important for me to continue playing. i am considering buying a ultrasound portable machine to help fix that and my rotator cuff problem on my shoulder i got from playing waterpolo. i am almost ready to quit playing sports with all my injurs but i love playing them all too much...

Answers:
It sounds as if you need to go on the IR(injured reserve) list. Your body is taking a pounding and it cannot heal itself with you continuing to play and get hurt.

Your coaches should know this and not require you to play. Listen to your body and take the time off. You will have problems in the future with walking and other daily tasks if you abuse yourself without healing properly.

Even if you are not the "star" player on your teams, you should not lose your spot due to injury.

Take a break please. Your body will thank you when you are older. You just cant heal a muscle tear in three weeks and get right back out there. It will need to heal, then you will need rehab to get it strong again.
