Answers:
One of the very best ways to help yourself at this point is to get a teething ring, just like you would for an infant. You can get the gel filled kind and freeze them. While you are at the store, pick up a bottle or Numzit, probably very close to the teething ring. If you want something stronger, use Ambasol; gel, liquid and liquid with applicator are available.
The chewing of the teething ring with aleviate your pain the same as it does for the infant. It works remarkable well.
I hope this helps and your pain abates soon.
painkillers?
My ortho said to rinse with warm salt water and to bit down on a small plastic piece. He said I would probably think he was crazy, but when you bite down it makes the pain go away faster.
When I had braces, I had trouble chewing on the days they got tightened so I drank lots of smoothies and milkshakes.
Try taking Aleve. Having the spacers won't hurt for very long.
