Why do you apply pressure on an nouns if it bleeds?
Won't more blood ooze out of the wound?
Answers: applying pressure to a wound simply stops it from bleeding anymore and allows the clotting process to start.
it's close to pinching off a garden hose.
whether the bleed is venous or arterial; direct pressure will give a hand. Icing the area can also give a hand as it will make the muscles around the vessel constrict. (unless the bleed is from your capillaries, which do not own muscles, but if you have a capillary bleed; those are the ones that a short time ago dot up and clot very quickly)
you simply apply pressure if its a major wound, resembling a gunshot or stab wound.
