Dehydrated?

Question:
I drank a couple of beers the other night and woke up throwing up and having the poops! I felt so drained and sick! Not your typical hangover feeling! It's been two days and I still can't shake the no energy feeling it's so bad it takes alot of energy just to walk from one room to another! I have drank lots of water and 4 bottles of gatorade, is it possible I am still dehydrated and is this something that requires ER visit? Or am I gonna get better by drinking more gatorade?? I am done drinking beer!!

Answers:
If you are able to produce tears, are urinating like you normally do and your mouth is moist, you are not dehydrated.
could just be the flu - totally unrelated to drinking - what kind of beer wht it? Malt liquor - like colt45 can hit you pretty hard like that. 2 beers in not enough to kepp you feeling that bad for 2 days - take some a B-vitamin complex - good for energy
Alcohol hangovers last for about a day.
You probably have a virus which should start to improve and be gone by the weeks end.
Gatorade is not the best solution for yoru problem. Drink lot of water and Juices(orange juice) You still can drink gatorade when you feel lethargic. Stay away from beer for a week. I'm sure you should do well if you take absolute rest for a day or two.
Sounds like you are just plain sick. If it has any relationship to the drinking it's probably that your immune system was lowered when drinking and hung over. Was it the first time you ever drank beer? If it was then there is always the possibility that it's an allergic reaction as well.
Sounds to me like it was more than beer if your still feeling bad. As far as the dehydration, look at the color of your urine, if it's clear or almost clear, your not dehydrated. The "burnt out felling" may be helped by B12 or B complex vitamins.
Are you eating anything? It sounds like you can't keep anything down. Try small bites of peeled apple, or rice that's been boiled with too much water. Add some salt or sugar. They help your stomach to feel better, and can also help with diarrhea. Good luck!
Two beers should not have caused all that if you are of legal age. Either you had more than you are letting on, you are way too young to be drinking, you are extremely under weight, or you are allergic to something in the beer. There is a very popular American beer that I can not drink because I am allergic to something in it. One High Life will give me screaming headache for a day. It could just be a coincidence as well, perhaps you came down with some sort of bug the same time you drank the beer. Either way, if you choose to never drink a beer again, that is your right, and not a bad thing either...unless you are Homer Simpson.
If I were you...I would consult a doctor. It may be more than just being dehydrated that has you feeling this way. What if you have alcohol poisoning or something? That's pretty serious stuff. Call your physician. Also, I would check your symtoms on www.webmd.com
