I hooked my eye with a wire coat hanger about 10 years ago. Had it been 1/8 of an inch deeper I would have been blind.
Anyway, the opthomologist told me that the eye is the best and worst place to get hurt. It is more painful than most other areas on your body, but it heals the fastest.
Your eye is watering to keep it moist and to flush it out. Keep the bandage/patch on it. You must keep it closed so that your eye does not move while looking and iritate the wound. It took about 10 days for my eye to heal enough to take off the bandage.

That water is contiunously cleaning bacteria from your eye, let water as long it needs to!
