Last night I thought I had a mosquito bite. Now I think it's a spider bite. At what point do I start to worry?

Question:
Last night it was a small, itchy bump on my arm...figured it was nothing to worry about. This morning I woke up...it was VERY sore to the touch, swollen, with a small yellowish puss sac on it. Now it is swollen, hot to the touch, and has a ring of red about the size of a silver dollar. I don't have health insurance, so I'm trying to wait it out, but when is it time to stop waiting? It is still very painful to the touch...

Answers:
see a doctor asap!!!! It could be the start of MRSA which is a drug resistant infection that looks like a bite, but in reality isn't.
The red ring around it is a sign of an infection. You need to get antibiotics. Go to the hospital and explain that you have no insurance, they will not deny medical care.
I wouldn't worry UNLESS you live in a place frequented by poisonous spiders. Take a pen and draw a line at at the top and bottom of where the redness and swelling begins and ends and if it keeps progressing and swells quit a bit more and begins to turn black as if it is rotting out it is a spider bite. If it was a poisonous spider you would have some serious side effects confusion, fatigue, fever, massive swelling and then you need to go to the er
it could also b poison ivy, have u touched n e plants latly? also sumthing mite help is aloe verra oil, its very good for burns, itch, bites, cuts, pretty much n e thing u can use it, also some neosporin (germ killing cream) could help mayb, if it really starts 2 hurt then go chek in w/ a doc
immediately draw around the perimiter of the redness with a pen or thin sharpie. if the redness extends past your drawing or the bite changes in color, you get a fever, or nausea etc. then it is definitely time to see the doctor.
I think you should go now to see the doctor, did you say it has a small yellow puss sac, was it there the day before if so it could be a wasp sting, if this is the case use a credit card or bank card to remove the stinger. if it wasn't there the day before and came there after wards then it is a sign of infection, is there a red streak going up your arm if there is this is a sign of serious poisoning either way go see your doctor immediately. If it is hot to the touch and swollen then it is infected besides that the bite could be from many types of insects and the insect that bit you maybe carrying diseases. Don't put it off you can never be too careful where your health is concerned.
You need to go to the hospital because it is extremely infected. Even though those spiders are the most dangerous, they aren't the cause because within a few moments of a bite from them, your not going to make it, let alone a night. Don't worry too bad but you should go now because of the infection! Don't hesitate anymore.
