When should you seek medical care for a nail infection?

Question:

Answers:
IMMEDIATELY. If your nails are yellow, cracking etc you've waited too long. These things cannot be treated with over-the-counter medicine. If you don't get it treated it will spread to the rest of your body and possibly liver problems or staph infection. Even treatement with Lamictal or whatever it is called takes 6 months at least sometimes 9 so that tells you how serious it can be. See a podiatrist immediately. (well presuming it's your toenails, and get rid of all nail polish. another g.p. for fingernails.
When you feel compelled to ask YouQA.com for medical advise it is probably already time to see the Doctor.
I'm not a doctor and have no qualifications in this area but. If you see a dark red or bluish bruise colored streak growing in size the infection is growing and it's time to do something. I would not wait for this, I'd see someone now.
