What is causing my Arm pain, Can anyone help me please?

Question:
I was injured on the job unloading carpet padding off a trailer, carrying big rolls on my right shoulder. Ever since i have been in severe pain. I cant tilt my head to the right, my right shoulder i cant move well at all without severe pain ( moving it up, to the side etc), I have to wear my arm in a sling to help with the pain it causes from hanging my arm down by my side. The pain goes down my entire arm, my elbow, wrist and hand have severe pain. my hand feels like its asleep and my whole arm tingles including my hand is really bad. Its only the right shoulder, arm and right side of my neck.
This is what ive had done so far... I havent worked in 4 weeks, i drive truck and i cant do my job. pain is not getting better. I had an mri of my neck and it showed min disc buldging of c6-c7 (doc said thats not causing the pain im having and it was no big deal) plus i had a mri of my shoulder but that it was normal (it ruled out rotator cuff injury). Can anyone give me any advice on what 2 do

Answers:
The bulging disk is, more than likely, caused nerve compression ( pinched nerve) and maybe muscle strain in addition. Did your Doc mentioned having Physical Therapy?? Are you taking anything for the pain?? If there is any muscle strain, try taking Motrin/Advil ( Ibuprofen). Just call your Doc and update him/her on what's going on. If no luck, find another Doc. If the symptoms persist or worsen, go to the ER. I hope that this helps and Good Luck. I had cervical spinal fusion surgery on my neck in June 06' so, I can relate to your pain.
Has a doctor mentioned to you that you may have a pinched nerve? The strange sensations of tingling and feeling like your hand is asleep could be indicative of nerve damage or a pinched nerve. Your doctor should be able to help you with this. There are medications that can help you with the pain and tingling (eg. neurontin or lyrica). Physical therapy may help as well. If you haven't already, please ask your doctor about a possible nerve injury. It's very good for you that nothing shows up on MRI. Pinched nerve can take weeks or months to heal. Good luck.
Maybe a pinched nerve? I bet its stemming from your back. My husband has disc problems and it can effect a lot of areas. It seems to me you should be on a mild muscle relaxer. Maybe see a different Dr....good luck!
