HELP! What's wrong with my back?
Question:

Go to a good chiropractor who comes highly promoted for treatments of musculoskeletal conditions. Just like MDs there are a variety of different foci chiropractors can have, so make sure you go to one who has had good results with muscle and skeletal problems. Pain killers will never ever cure an injury, it may reduce the pain until it goes away by the body fixing itself, but a chiropractor helps your body heal itself more quickly. The best way to handle most problems like yours is co-management between your MD a chiropractor and a physical therapist. If your doctor refuses to suggest anyone they are doing you a disservice, talk to your friends who may have been to one and find someone who gets results. Good luck
who knows?
get surgery!
ya call a doctor and you did this to yourself.
Try a physical therapist or a chiropractor.
well your back does take a while to heal. took me years to get over the pain i had from falling onto a water meter. it will get better with time and really your Dr. is right. take the meds and give it time.
MAKE your insurance company give you an MRI.
Long story short, you might have ruptured a disc, and they can't see that unless you have an MRI.
I was undiagnosed for 7 months, in and out of emergency rooms, cold not work, could not sleep and soo hard to drive. Here is what finally worked after good old Kaiser figured it out:
Cortisone shots..oh these help sooo much, Flexeril, Motrin, ice packs and a very very good Chiropractor, and I'm almost good as new.
SORRY.I wish you a speedy recovery.
Maybe you should see a doctor. And suggest physical theropy. There is the machine type thing that sends electrods through your body, so your brain knows the pain isn't as bad as it thinks it is. You basically getting shock but its more like a vibration. And it releaves the pain. Or it may just be a pulled muscle. Good Luck!
Yeah, don't do any more jobs that require lifting. Back injuries can take years to heal. I've had one since 1993 that still puts me in tears and being a nurse doesn't help matters any. Did they x-ray your back at all? I would suggest you go to an orthopedic surgeon for an expert opinion of what happened to your back.
