I started suboxone last night 4 mg a day?

for one week then 1 1/2 pills for one week , then one pill , then a half,,,then offff,,,,Is this the norm? Will it help the pain at all? Thanks

yes, it is normal to start with dosages like that. You r body has to be inroduced to the medication slowly to avoid a rapid induction of opioids into your body, thus minimizing the risk of side effects and overdose.
As for whether or not it will help with pain control...totally depends on how your body responds to the med. Everyone is different. What works for some doesn't for others and vice versa.

The doctors gave my husband suboxone to help with the withdraws from they Oxycontin that they had been giving him after his spinal surgery. The suboxone didn't seem to help him at all, but every one is different.
