My Knee Popped out of Place. it happened before, but this time it hurts. and it looks swollen or bruised. what
Question:
AND. THE THING IS that I HAVE A STATE-WIDE BEACHVOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT, that i am ALREADY REGISTERED FOR, AND I ALREADY PAID FOR IT. and it is in exactly 5 days, on the 28th of JUNE... :) and i really want to play. it does feel like the pain is getting less. but, that maybe only cause the first day it hurt so bad. IT STILLL DOES HURT. and i can't run, right now, or i cant even walk normally. do you think it will be better in 5 days. it happened 3-4days ago. on thrusday!!
i really wanna play. i already put all my time, n training for this tourney?

You should go see an orthopedic doctor! There is nothing good that will come of your patella dislocating! If you really truly had to play, it would be at your own risk for further injury, but every time your patella dislocated you could be doing so much damage to your knee. You won't really know until they do an arthroscopy on your knee, but you could be ripping up articular cartilage with every dislocation. It is something that should be checked out.
As far a being better in 5 days, definitely not. You would be fortunate if this was cause solely by muscle tightness (mainly ITB), but from the frequency of it, it seems that it might be more serious an issue such as mal-alignment of your patellar tendon.
You should go see a doctor and get x-ray's and an MRI, but if you do play in the tourney, realize that if it dislocates again, you could cause irreparable damage to the articular surface of your patella or the lateral condyle of your femur.
Good luck with it!
I know you wanna play the game.so maybe you should see the Dr right away to have it looked after =maybe it just needs to be pulled back into place =hope so anyway=good luck
I used to be on drill team and my knee would pop out of socket all the time, but I was able to pop it into place. However, with it being swollen it sounds a bit more serious. If you have already tried alternating cold and heat packs for 24-48 hours and nothing has changed I would suggest contacting your doctor to look at it.
If you can't run now you probably won't be able to on the court. Best of luck
Call your health professional immediately. exact words from webmd.com. the place works! Ok you really need to go see a doctor...even if it means the ER. If you can't drive, have someone drive you there or call an ambulance. Hope it egts better in 5 days!
