What makes a scab go away but a scar stay?

Question:
what makes a scab go away but a scar stay?

Answers:
The width of the cut usually determines whether you have a scar or not. Also the conditions in which a cut heals can make a scar.too dry or too much sun can affect it, but the main factor is the width of the cut.
Neosporin or cocoa butter can make a scab go away and of course if you don't pick it off, and a scar will remain if you picked the scab off of your body.
A scab is nothing more then left over blood used for clotting the wound. Once the wound has healed to the point of a scar the scab is done. Your bodys oil and hairs push it away.
picking the scab off will leave a scar.
