Nose hurts while couhging?

I had a bad cough the other day.. I coughed so hard that I actually hurt my nose.. what could this have been ? It was like a sharp pain, my nose didn't bleed or anything.

Did you accidentally bump your nose into some hard objects previously. The movement from the cough might have alleviate or surface the mild nose injury you had from before.
