Lower back pain after spinning class?
Question:
Has anyone experienced this or know what it may be?
Also, any home remedies to make this better? I have a desk job and it's really hard to sit still at work with this!

Sounds like you may have a buldging disc or "slipped disc" You may want to try this, stand up with your feet shoulder width apart and bend back, if you feel the pain right in the middle and not to any certain side then you should go to the ground and do about six push-ups while keeping your lower body on the ground, kind of like a cobra stretch. Then stand up and see if the pain has decreased. If it has it is most likely a disc buldge. If this is the case the bad part is that you sit during your job and any time my loose the curve in your lower back you push that buldge out farther. So what you have to do is get a rolled up bath towel to keep the curve in your lower back when you sit. You have to keep that curve as much as possible and do 10 of those push-ups every hour. any exercise that tightens the hamstring muscles (back part of upper leg) will stress your lower back. do some warm ups and stretch before class even it you do them in class and stretch after class. see the link for some lower back stretches.
also, take hot soaks in the tub. it helps.
Its probably due to your seat adjustment. Ask your spin class teacher to adjust the seat. Also don't forget to strech before and after the class
