What's a good way to help heal a sunburn?

Question:
I know Aloe is good but is there anything else? Here afew weeks ago I went to the pool and din't put sunblock on. I ended up with an awful burn, 2nd degree. Yesterday I also went to the pool. My first burn wasn't healed completly and then I got burnt again. I'm also going to the pool again on Friday. Anyway to keep me fom frying even worse would be most appreciated.

I just had this problem myself. My sunburn was so bad I couldn't get dressed, sleep, or anything without being in severe pain. I went to the doctor and she gave me a cream meant for burns. It helped majorly! Go to your doctor ASAP and see if you can get a perscription. And next time wear tons of sunblock I learned my lesson :)
i think aloe is the best and stay out of the sun and keep the aloe on
Rub milk on it, i know it sounds wired but it's soothing. Aloe helps prevent peeling on top of helping with the pain, so you might want to use it anyway.
Yeah, use some f****** sunblock.
lotion with aloe and cold baths
after sun lotion helps to soothe thepain and calm it down.x
STOP IT ALREADY! STAY IN THE SHADE
Vinegar works.

Also slices of tomato the helps relieve pain
tripple antibiotic ointment works real good
i got told if you put on sunscrean it will prevent and heal sun burn. so i tryed it and it worked
If it is very painful, make some iced tea and put it in a spray bottle and that'll take the sting out of it. I used to get sunburnt all the time... it's because I'm so pale and pasty.
mix equal parts cool water and viniger and soak papertowels in it and do like...compresses on your skin. it sounds crazy but its what they did for me in the hospital when i got sun poisoning, try it i promise it works good
Soak a cloth in some cider vinegar, and put it on the burn, it draws the heat out, so that it wont hurt, and then put some aloe on it. You can also, soak in half milk, half water, that takes away the burn and the heat from the burn, it also nourishes your skin.
i know this may sound weird but put lotion in the freezer for 30 min then take it out and put it in room temp water that in a pot then what its not frozen put it on i will help alot
Milk bath would help...milk has ingredients that regenerates the skin so it's a good substitution for aloe...

Bath in milk then dry your sunburn then put baby powder or lotion on it so it will not peel...
Don't peel it cause it's going to mess up your skin..
lay out in the sun just in a swimsuit, with no sunscreen on to obtain vitamin d
Soothing Rosemary-Oatmeal Sunburn Bath

Oatmeal relieves itching and irritation due to dryness, while black tea helps cool the body and draw the heat away.

1 cucumber
4 cups oatmeal
10 black tea bags
2 tablespoons rosemary leaves

Puree cucumber in a blender and combine with other ingredients. Empty mixture into tub under a faucet of warm running water. Stay in bath for up to an hour. Use several times daily as needed.

just a recipe i got form ellegirl.com. try it!!
how about
1. put sunblock on from now on
2. if your burnt dont go to the pool

that will probably help.

Your best bet is to wear something to cover the sunburn while out it the sun until it fully heals. If that isn't an option - use aloe still and a high SPF sunscreen when you are out in the sun until it heals.
You need to wear some sunscreen!!
aloe
Its called beads from coppertone
fresh aloe from the plant is better than store bought, also you could try using rubbing alchol i find it helped me a lot when i had a bad burn. Also if you start to blister peeling off the dead skin is fine a little at a time but make sure to disinfect the place where you peeled the skin off with neosporin. Baths are good too, cold ones feel great and you dont risk getting burned agaain :P
That stinks! I'm Irish, so it takes me a while to get tan enough not to burn. Aloe is the best remedy. BananaBoat makes this green gel that works really well. I've heard that Noxzema works too. Good luck.
Besides the obvious: Stay inside, wear clothes, don't go swimming..

Always use some sun screen or sun block. Aloe is great. There is also this item in the band-aid section it is called "2nd Skin". There are other brands/forms but I haven't used those. The "2nd Skin" I have used (2nd degree burn from a Harley). It is almost healed 100%. This stuff is awesome. It's a gel cover and you wear it on the burn. You can freeze it in the freezer so that when you go to use it, it is cool and soothing.

Even though your already burned you still need to use some sun screen/block to block further damage and aid your new skin in healing/growing.
Keep out of the sun and use water based creams for your skin not oil based ones. If you must go out, wear o long sleeved top like a kaftan.
there is an aloe burn gel with a pain killer in it, (bahama jack I believe) I guarantee it works. I had the worst burn and in alot of pain and had to stop and get some on the way back from vacation so I could drive back home. Use sun block next time, all these burns are a bad sign, skin cancer can start from burns!
Wet a tea bag and put it on the burn with a patting motion. If that don't help you can try White vinegar. Rub it on your burn.
Hey keep on putting Aloe and sunburn on when you're going outside no matter what.Try rubbing ice where it burns and take a cold bath.Try swimming when its a warm day but not sunny.Thats what I do.
you need to apply sun screen about 30 to 50. the reason for this is when you are older you will have skin cancer and have to have it cut out all the time and that is the pits.
