Have you been drinking lots of soda or tea? You may want to drink some water to flush everything out.
this is something you should speak to your family doctor about.
IF the pain presists you should go immediatly to see a doctor!
it could be a kindey rupture or kidney cancer, sorry to scare you but it could be the truth
but if its kidney stones they will slowly push down through the pipe to ur bowls and then you have to push em out! sounds painfull but it can be done.
As far as kidney stones, I have no clue because I have never had one myself.. you said you had had them before?
If it's lasted 4 weeks, then I can't guess to what it is... and it really wouldn't be safe for those of us without a medical degree to give you medical advice...

it was hurting on my left kidney and it wouldnt stop and i am 11 but i went the docotor and and got some thing for it and had got a xray but it went a way then came back
hey lady figure out if this is ur kidney pain.
u can get kits to test for urinary infection in pharmacy nitrite and esterase kits.u should get pain at the lumbar region and the pain moves downward with cramping nature and its come and goes .burning urination can be there with or withot blood .so if these r present take plenty of fluid and run to the doctor coz kidney is very important and if get damaged u cant do anything to save ur life .so be serious lily i am also doctor.so wants to relieve u
