Will it scar??

Question:
i have a very bad cut on my shoulder and some of the scabs are coming off and underneath them is light/pink skin. is it going to scar?

Answers:
Depends on the depth. If it breaks through the deepest layer of skin, then you will scar.

Scarring is a process of wound healing that occurs when the deepest layer of skin is breached and bridges the gap of your previously intact skin with collagen. Collagen is the basic building blocks of your intact skin, but is built in a slightly different way. This is why the scar has a different texture. Normal skin also has Melanocytes that give skin its color, which is also lacking in scars. The process of wound healing progresses over 9 months. You reduce the prominence of the scar by keeping the area out of the sun or wearing sunscreen. Also, massaging the scar with lotion will help soften the scar and give it a more natural feel.
Try the vitamin E oil. I had surgery about 6 weeks ago and the doctor told me to put the vitamin E oil on the scar for that reason.
Everybody heals differently, if you want, you can get a antibiotic, that also helps reduce scaring.
Don't pick at the scabs and it won't scar.
the pink is your new skin, take good care if it. vit E oil is verry good for scars and any scar cream on the market will do .
