If I brake and mash my pills into my food will they still work as good?

Yes they will, BUT you can only do this for regular medicine. Drugs that are time release or long acting can not be altered safely from the way they come from the pharmacy. If you crush these pills/capsules you will actually get too much of the medicine at once. Most of these meds have labels on them saying "Do not break, crush, chew" or something to that effect.
The best thing to do is to give your pharmacist a call and check about each of the medicines with them. They can tell you if ALL of the meds are safe to crush. If not, there may be a liquid version
It is not recommended. It depends on the particular medication.
Certainly, it doesn't make any difference as long as you are taking them at the prescribed time of day. Some you take in the morning and others in the evening. Make sure your Pharmacy explains there best time to take them if not sure.
Yes, I think so, as long as you eat the whole dose. You might want to look on the label because sometimes a medication will react badly with a certain kind of food or should be taken on an empty stomach.
You have to determine first if your pills are enteric coated. this means that the pill is designed to break down in your intestines, not your stomach. Additionally, some pills are designed to break down slowly because they are designed as "Slow Release" - you should call your pharmacist first and ask.
It depends on the medication, some medication isn't supposed to be crushed because it is a slow release med, and basically you will be giving yourself too much at one time and in some cases this can be fatal, even though it's only the one pill that you take anyway, but the pill is made to dissolve slowly. I would check with your Dr.
i don't know,but i think they should as they have to digest anyway.i'm not a medicinal expert,however..
do not ever smash a pill many a coated to slow the absorption of the med
smashing can lead to over dosing
