What is this head spinning thing??

Question:
Have you ever lay down to go to sleep and felt as if the whole room is spinning or moving? So much so, that you start feeling motion sickness? (and no alcogol or drugs involved!) Seriously though, i have to move to find a position where it doesnt happen. Any ideas what this may be?

Answers:
i have had this before when very tired. cured by using an extra pillow so not laying down flat. if it happens often get it checked with yr doc.
You may have an inner ear disorder, especially if you had painful or recurrent ear infections as a child. Talk to your doctor.
Most of us get this at sometime or another.
I have it at the moment if I lay down on my left side.

The majority of people put this down to something to do with the inner ear but it's actually a virus.

Nothing to worry about. It will go eventually.
Lay off the PBR!
Could be brought on by stress, even if you dont think you have it.
This may be a inner ear infection, get this checked out by your GP
sounds like vertigo, which needs investigating by a doctor
Speak to your doc but ask your family if there's a history of vertigo or ear infections.

Sounds as though you have a balance problem and that's inner ear.
